Hello,

Sorry for the late replies,

We are still using Jessie, as I'm sure you are aware, CarPC is not yet Compatible with Stretch.

I will edit this post with the /opt/carpc/ file to show you how to get it running from the main menu Smile
sorry I had to rebuild my whole SD Card.

The /opt/carpc/Startup file was edited, and I replaced ".navit" with "waze".

This allows Waze to launch in place of Navit.

However I have now run into the issue of having a notification window popup over the top of Waze, and I am unable to use the mouse to close this!

Is there a way to close these via ssh?
Some news about waze on rpi, is working ok, is worth it to change navit software on carpc ??
Yeah, over on the other forum we found it to be very useable!
Thanks for the info, in this weekend i have work to do, i try to install waze.
is it now working with a USB GPS mouse?

Thanks!
I think I finally managed it to install waze?

But I get an error when trying to start:

pi@raspberrypi:~ $ waze

(waze:1152): Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display:

I'm using the 7" RPi Touchscreen.
Do I need to edit the settings somehow?

Edit:
I can start waze using the console on the Rasperry from Jessie - but not via network using putty
Strange!

Same error
I can't start waze from carpc, if i change in startcarpc navit with waze, nothing is happening. For the moment i give up.
I got it starting by editing the StartCarPC file:

#!/bin/bash

# Start gpsd
#sudo killall gpsd
#sudo chmod a+r /dev/ttyUSB0
#gpsd /dev/ttyUSB0

# Start Navit with a low priority
waze &
#/usr/bin/7ways_starter.sh &

cd /opt/carpc/startup/
./StartCarPC_stage2 &

When it starts, I've to confirm "Terms of use", but I can't scroll down to hit the "Accept" button

EDIT: Change Skin to Confluence to setup your account - change back to CarPC Skin - working
