mplayer video feed on top of Kodi

So I want to make reverse camera feed display inside kodi. I have tested the camera feed with mplayer and it works. So how I can make video feed appear on top of the kodi?

I just want to minimize kodi and start video feed with mplayer, can somebody explain to me how to do it?

I suppose I will need to make some sort of plugin, like radio plugin?

I tried something, but I dont know the basics.

I am short of time, so I can't give you details...But I remember that Andrei uses some kind of transparency in his navigation-plugin (for navit) which allows him to show a program (in this case navit), which usually is behind kodi. So when we start this navigation-plugin, kodi becomes transparent and you can see the program in the "layer" behind it.

Sorry for not explaining more, but that could (hopefully) lead your thoughts in the right direction...
