Könnte auch ein Strom Problem sein. Habe jetzt schon öfters gelesen das wenn beim Start des Pi mehr Strom benötigt wird als geliefert werden kann, einzelne Komponenten dann nicht richtig erkannt werden.

Also den Grafikfehler könnte ich lösen.

In der config musste ich #hdmi_driver=2 auf 1 setzen und halt # weg, dann war auch der violette Streifen an der Seite weg.

Kurze Frage:

Ist es möglich die gpio_descprition auch so anzupassen das man mit einem rotary encoder im Skin navigieren kann (sprich links, rechts und enter belegen)?
Habe schon ein bisschen rumgespielt, bin aber noch zu keinem wirklichem Ergebnis gekommen.

Bei mir hat das funktioniert:

Allerdings geht damit die Navigation im Skin nur Up/Down, nicht Links/Rechts. Macht aber auch mehr Sinn, da in Listen in der Regel vertikal navigiert wird. Und durch die Hauptmenübuttons auf dem Homescreen lässt sich so auch navigieren (zumindest im xTouch-Skin).
Und durch die Doppelbelegung ist der Encoder zusätzlich auch im Radio für die Sendersuche verwendbar.

If the current_carpc.zip seems to no support the Raspberry PI 1.2 B+

When I try to run it I get a Illegal Instructions when I run the Kodi.BIN

I swapped for a PI3 and everything was flawless... trying to save some people some time if they did it like I did.

As described in the tutorial, a Raspberry Pi 3 is recommended. A Raspberry Pi 2 will work too. Pi 1 and Pi B+ didn`t.

I do have a serious problem with my CarPi. The display will be blanked after 10 minutes of use and I can only enable it by rebooting the system with ssh. Even the touchscreen is disabled.
It is not a power supply problem and googling it will give a lot of tips but none worked. Anybody here with the same problem? Or any clue about how to fix this? Currently my CarPi is unusable this way

Fixed it by starting all over again with the latest available Raspbian image.

wollte mal Nachfragen ob schon vorhersehbar ist wann Kodi 17 laufen wird bzw. ob es überhaupt möglich sein wird...

Wann ist noch nicht ganz klar - momentan hängt es noch an nem Patch für den Patch von Andrei (er ist zur zeit sehr busy aber wir sind dran). Überhaupt möglich: dickes JA - die Version existiert im Prinzip schon und ist in Testnutzung hat aber noch wenige Kinderkrankheiten daher wird sie noch nicht veröffentlicht.
